Selfie from the gallery, as an option 📸

The selfie is part of the guest registration in NCollect. Taken on the spot, it gives the host more security. But some guests cannot use the camera at that moment, or prefer to send a photo they already have on the phone, and the team ends up handling it case by case, by message. Now that choice belongs to the company: NCollect gained an option to allow the guest to upload the selfie from the phone's gallery.

What changes

• An option in the company settings defines whether the guest can upload the selfie from the gallery.
• The host turns the option on or off, in Settings, Company tab.
• The choice applies to the whole company, in every registration.

How it works in practice

With the option on, the guest can pick a photo already on the phone when uploading the selfie. With the option off, the gallery does not appear as a path.

The decision stays with the operation. Those who handle many guests who struggle with the phone, or who fill in the registration together with them over the phone, can turn the option on to reduce friction. Those who prefer the guarantee of a photo taken on the spot keep it off. And it can be changed at any time, without opening a ticket.

Good to know

• The setting is made by the host, in the company settings, with no need for support.
• The option affects only the selfie. Uploading the other documents stays as it is.
