The conversation sidebar is now more consistent 🧹
The sidebar is where the agent keeps what does not fit in the message: the note about the guest arriving late, the attribute with the apartment number. It grew section by section, and it showed: a button in a different place in each section, three button styles, an English heading in the middle of a Portuguese screen, an empty section that opened blank. And anyone navigating with the keyboard or working on a tablet could not find the edit and delete buttons, which only appeared on mouse hover. Three adjustments fix this.
What changes
- Standardized buttons: the action buttons in sections such as Macros and Contact notes follow the same position, style and alignment pattern.
- Translated text: text that appeared in English, in the sidebar and in the advanced filters, is now in Portuguese and Spanish. Empty sections show a message instead of staying blank.
- Edit and delete always within reach: the actions for notes and attributes also appear when navigating with the keyboard, and are always visible on touch screens.
How it works in practice
The agent working on a tablet opens a conversation, goes to Notes and sees the edit and delete buttons right away, without depending on a mouse the screen does not have. Whoever prefers the keyboard reaches the same buttons with Tab. And the Conversation information section, when it has nothing, says so instead of staying blank.
Good to know
- The keyboard and touch actions apply in four places: Notes in the sidebar, Notes on the contact page, Contact attributes and Conversation information.
- Nothing changes in color, size, icon or the delete confirmation. Macros and the gear icon stay as they were.
